Emergency Feeding
Are you prepared for emergency school closings?
As a school foodservice professional, you are likely aware, for example, that schools across the country are on alert for the spread of the H1N1 virus and are encouraged to prepare for possible emergency school closings. The USDA strongly recommends that schools provide meals even if schools are closed due to an emergency. A "no congregate" regulation would allow students to receive up to two meals each day.
E S Foods offers comprehensive SHELF-STABLE MEALS, MILK and SNACKS to address all your spoilage and food safety issues. No refrigeration is required for our shelf-stable products that can be stored for up to 12 months. Through collaboration with food safety experts, registered dietitians, and government advisors, we have developed the documents (at right) to help you prepare for emergency closings. The information includes action plans to develop alternate meals and sample menus for several days. We can also provide you assistance in organizing and implementing your emergency preparedness plan, as well as with meal transportation and delivery.
Your safety and wellness are our concern.
