Breakfast BREAKS Part of Maryland’s First Class Breakfast Initiative

Last week at Maryland’s State House, the Governor’s Office for Children kicked off the state’s First Class Breakfast Initiative which aims to expand and improve school breakfast programs. This announcement came as part of the Partnership to End Childhood Hunger in Maryland.

Summer and Breakfast Programs Feed Thousands of Children in Florida

As any foodservice director would attest, serving 38,706 breakfasts and 158,269 lunches over 40 days as part of the Summer Feeding Program is no small feat! But at Lee County Public Schools in Fort Myers, Florida, one of the 50 largest school districts in the country, that is par for the course.
