Good News: Summer Food Participation Grows!
June 16, 2014

For the first time in a decade, the number of low-income children eating summer meals saw a substantial increase year-over-year, according to a new report released by FRAC. Nearly three million children participated in the Summer Nutrition Programs in July 2013, a one-year increase of 5.7 percent.

New FRAC Report: Summer Meals Still Fall Short
June 29, 2013

For every seven low-income students who depended on the National School Lunch Program during the regular 2011-2012 school year, only one child received summer meals in July 2012. This disappointing news was reported in FRAC’s June 2013 Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation.
