We are excited to announce that 12-year-old dragster Danika Miles has cruised to the Top 10 in her division of the Professional Drag Racing Association (PDRA). She teaches us what a true athlete is, regardless of gender. Danika is one determined young lady!

Considering the fierce competition in a field dominated by males, finishing in 8th place was quite a feat in a long season of dragster racing that runs from April through October. Danika’s car reached a top speed of 86 mph in 7.74 seconds. She will be honored at the national awards banquet in December in Indianapolis in conjunction with the Professional Racing Industry (RHI) conference.

E S Foods became her sponsor this year and she races in a car wrapped in our E S Foods design. We are very proud to be the sponsor of this competitive champion! We thought this was a fun, unique way to promote E S Foods’ products while honoring a successful middle school student. She has served as a spokesperson to her school-age peers about the healthy meals E S Foods offers school foodservice programs. She has handed out our snacks at her racing events, and she even had her car at our booth at ANC this past summer for a photo opportunities with attendees.

Not only is Danika a stellar athlete, she is also a typical pre-teen girl.  She is an Honor Roll student in the 7th grade at Richard Winn Academy in her hometown of Ridgeway, South Carolina. Danika loves going fast and says, “It’s really cool to have a license to drive at 12 years old.” She started racing at the age of 10 and hopes to make this her career. We can’t wait to see what happens next season.  Way to go Danika, we are your biggest fans!
